Deep Dance Radio, the work of a passionate person

If there is a passionate and hardworking Radionomy producer, it is Andre Teunissen. Deep Dance Radio is a successful radio in every respect, whether it is its style (dance and house very assertive), the quality and size of its playlist (1470 titles actually published), the jingles, the logo, the website… A real professional job.

It must be said that Andre, in Amsterdam, has radio in his blood. “I have always loved this medium,” he says. As a child, I listened to all the still illegal radios that could be heard in Amsterdam (Decibel, Waps, Radio Sjuul, Couterpoint). In the 90s, I was radioDJ and program manager at City FM.

Andre, at City FM in Amsterdam in the 1990s.

Andre then left the FM world, having fun, alone at home, with the RadioDJ software. “When I discovered Radionomy, I was like a kid in a candy store,” he says. Four months ago, he created Deep Dance Radio. “I think the originality of this radio comes from the fact that it combines Deephouse, Vocalhouse, House classics, Swingbeat, and Dance classics. The radio’s slogan is: “If it’s got rhythm and soul, you’ll hear it on Deep Dance Radio“.

To improve the on-air rendering, Andre worked on the mix points of all these tracks and edited the classic long dance tracks so that it would only last 4 minutes, so that he could still play them on the radio. Quality work that gradually pays off in terms of audience and makes Deep Dance an excellent radio station!
